But like I said, the mids are too strong. The highs are there, and it has some of the low frequencies, but drops off at around 80Hz. In fact it sounds rather tinny due to this. This product really overdoes it with the mids. This thing can't stand a chance, but I wasn't expecting it to. A modded Hafler DH-200, modded DH-101, and Boston Acoustics Micro90x for the front. I'm an audiophile (I guess) and I have a real Stereo. mp3! Bose puts in a little paper saying how they strive to get natural sound, and all that jargon. They were played from an iPhone 4, and they are. I listened to Green Day's ¡Uno!, ¡Tré!, John Denver's WildLife Concert, Harbor Life Concert, and some others.

But this is about the SoundDock, not their other products. Their Wave systems, and pretty much everything else they offer is overpriced. Anyways, I find Bose overpriced and underperforming. I picked this out for my brother, as he needed something for college. Let me start off by saying I'm not a fan of Bose, and this isn't mine. I want to know what you guys think of this. If anyone is considering a Bose SoundDock, or something, I made a review, and I thought I would share it here. Therefore, please clarify this and I will give it a try.Hi guys. If you mean turn these three off and on simultaneously, I will try this but it is difficult using three different remotes. Since I am a novice when it comes to electronics, I’m not sure what you mean by “power cycle” the Bose along with the Marantz and TV. These are the only two modes of operation that I get audible sound from all the Bose speakers. If I press the “SoundTouch” button on the bar remote, I get a radio station on the SoundTouch bar.

Once this is done, the “TV” light glows white on the bar (both the Wi-Fi and TV lights are now on). To get sound from the cable box, all that is required is to touch the “Power” button on the sound bar remote and then press the “Aux” button. Looking at the Bose sound bar, the Wi-Fi Indicator light constantly glows white regardless if the bar is on and off. The TV does have several input slots to receive RCA cables though. The TV only has one HDMI input slot and this particular slot is connected to an output slot on the Marantz. I have not tried connecting all components directly to the TV.

What do you recommend? Thanks, TomĪll of my components are connected to the Marantz by HDMI cables and this includes the Charter cable box. In other words, all audio must pass through the TV and to the speakers regardless of the component playing or functioning. System connected as follows: all components are connected to the AV "Input" by HDMI cable, The AV (HDMI Out-Monitor ARC) is connected to the TV by HDMI (HDMI "IN") cable, and the TV is connected to the Bose 300 by Opitical Cable. The components of my system are: Charter cable box, Panasonic Plasma TV, Marantz SR6010 receiver (new, purchased from Crutchfield as well), Sony Blu-Ray, Onkyo DV-SP504 CD & DVD player. I purchased the Bose speakers from Crutchfield and have connected my system according to their recommendations. Only get sound when the cable box and TV are powered up. I have been successful in doing both but now can not get sound to the speakers when using the CDplayer, Blu-Ray player or turner on the AV receiver. Yes, I was interested in resetting the 300 to factory default so that I could try once again to pair the bar with the wireless surround sound speakers.
